Led by Dean Restrepo, the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Club, now in its fourth year at BAL, attracts on average a dozen students to train in the "gentle art" on any given afternoon. This year no student has had to buy a uniform as the group has been able to get donations of gently used and even some new Jiu Jitsu gis from outside supporters.  Also, through a collaboration with the Eastside Settlement Afterschool Program, for the first time, our Middle School students have been able to join in on training sessions. Congrats Fernando, and stop by the dance room on Mondays through Fridays to do some grappling with our jiu jitsu team!
