Great World Texts

Great World Texts is a collaboration between Gallatin Writing Program faculty, Gallatin undergraduates, and New York City public high school teachers and students. Each year Gallatin students act as mentors in the study of a canonical work or contemporary classic in the aims to bridge the gap between high school and college.

In Fall 2014, students from BAL studied Nikolai Gogol's play "The Government Inspector" and responded with writing and performance projects.
