Congratulations to the following three students from Ms. Bell's Poetry Seminar who  have been selected for honorable mention in the city-wide City Outreach High School Poetry Contest sponsored by City College:

 

1. Onajah Joseph "Homage to My Hair"

2. Yulidal HernandezKin "Ode to my Belly"

3. Kenderly Soto "Portrait"

 

The students will be reading and receiving their awards on May 8th at City College and be treated to a reading by Pulitzer Prize winning poet Tracy K. Smith. They will also be published in the literary journal "poetry and Performance.
