Operation Breaking Stereotypes (OBS) is a student group working to address ethnic, socio-economic, gender, and racial stereotypes through writing, visual art, and personal connections. The current cohort is composed of ten senior students who have been working together since their freshman year.

Each member has a partnering member at Mount  Desert Island High School in Maine who they have come to know closely through annual exchanges, workshops, and  advocacy projects.

As their culminating experience, BAL students have been invited to travel to Maine between March 11th and 15th to create a film with award winning director Jeff Dobbs. In addition, students will participate in improvisationalacting workshops with Dustin Sleight, a former OBS member and professional actor.
