The Youth Impact Program

This spring, 13 of our young men in the middle school will be taking part in a very exciting opportunity.  During the school day from June 14th-26th, selected students will spend the day at West Point instead of in regular classes.

The Youth Impact Program is a summer program that partners with universities across the country and a local NFL team to work with male students who have not been successful in traditional learning environments.  YIP for BAL students will take place at West Pointand collaborate with the NY Giants.  The program kicks off with a pep rally facilitated by the Giants.

Then, over two weeks in June, students will work with West Point Cadets and teachers on developing skills around the issues they face every day.  The boys will  receive academic support, guidance counseling, character development, social interaction activities and nutrition support throughout the program.
